Plumbing on ServiceTitan
What Does Your Plumbing Website Do While the Water Is Still Running? Wiring It to ServiceTitan
A plumbing lead has a clock on it that no other trade quite matches. A slow drain can wait until Thursday. A supply line spraying into a kitchen cabinet cannot wait for anyone to read an email. A plumber's website on ServiceTitan has to know the difference, and so does the booking it sends.

The short answer
A plumber's website on ServiceTitan should sort every request by urgency, put the phone first for active leaks, send emergency bookings with a priority and a clear summary, route by service area, book estimate visits for water heaters, repipes and sewer lines rather than promise online estimates, show the master plumber's license where the law requires it, and carry call tracking and click IDs into each booking.

Three clocks run on every plumbing website
Every request a plumber gets falls on one of three clocks. The emergency clock runs in minutes: water where it should not be, sewage coming up, no water at all. The today clock runs in hours: no hot water, a toilet that will not stop, the only drain backing up. The planning clock runs in weeks: a water heater near the end of its life, a repipe, a sewer line the camera says is failing. One contact form cannot serve all three, and when it tries, the emergency waits in the same inbox as the quote request.
ServiceTitan can hold all three properly. A booking carries a job type, a business unit, an optional priority and a summary; jobs land on a dispatch board that already knows your zones and capacity. The website's job is to decide which clock a customer is on before it sends anything. The general mechanics are on the ServiceTitan integration hub; the trade's wider web strategy lives on our plumbing industry page.
The triage table we build every plumbing site around
| What the page should do | What lands in ServiceTitan | |
|---|---|---|
| Active leak, burst pipe, sewage backup | Tap-to-call first; shutoff guidance; an emergency booking only as a fallback | A booking flagged with high priority and a one-line description of where the water is |
| No water anywhere | Ask whether neighbors are affected before booking, so a utility outage is not a truck roll | A priority booking, or none, with the answer noted |
| No hot water | Same-day windows where capacity allows; gas or electric, tank or tankless | A repair booking typed by fuel and heater style |
| One slow drain or a running toilet | Pick a window this week | A standard booking with the fixture named |
| Every drain slow at once | Explain that it may be the main line and book accordingly | A drain or sewer booking flagged for a camera |
| Water heater replacement, repipe, sewer line, slab leak | Explain options and costs honestly; book the estimate visit | A booking for the visit; the estimate is written in ServiceTitan by your team |
The last row is not a design preference. A ServiceTitan help article says estimates "cannot be created or booked directly from an external website into ServiceTitan," so the website books the visit and the plumber writes the estimate. Our web forms guide shows how each row maps to fields.

An emergency path built so nobody has to type during a flood
A homeowner standing in an inch of water does not want a six-step form. The emergency path on a plumbing site is short on purpose: a phone number large enough to hit with a wet thumb, one line of shutoff advice, and a booking option for people who cannot call right now. When someone does book, the booking reaches ServiceTitan with a high priority, a summary a dispatcher can read in two seconds, and the address checked against your service area before it is sent.
Our Bleuwave Plumbing case study is the clearest example we have built. The estimate panel doubles as a triage engine: a homeowner who cannot name the problem picks "help me figure it out" and the form diagnoses it, while an emergency flag escalates an active leak ahead of the queue. Service-area routing and a live cost path sit in the same typed data layer, so an emergency becomes a dispatched truck instead of a voicemail.
When the homeowner cannot name the problem
Most customers do not know whether they have a clog, a failing flapper or a main line problem, and a form that asks them to choose from a list of plumbing terms gets the wrong answer half the time. A triage form asks what they can see instead, and translates it.
- Where is the water, and is it still coming? The single most useful question on a plumbing site, because it separates an emergency from a booking.
- One fixture or several? One slow sink is a drain call. Every drain at once points toward the main line, and the booking should say so.
- Gas or electric, tank or tankless? For water heaters, this decides who goes and what they bring.
- How old is the water heater, roughly? Age turns a repair call into a likely replacement conversation, and the summary should flag it.
- Any smell? Sewer odor changes the job type. A gas smell is not a plumbing booking at all; the page tells the visitor to leave and call the gas company.
- Photo, if it helps. A picture of the heater's label or the water under the sink saves a dispatcher a phone call.
The answers become one plain-English summary on the ServiceTitan booking. The form does not diagnose, and it never tells a customer what something will cost unless you have published that price. It routes, and the plumber diagnoses.
Service areas, zones and the fee nobody mentioned
Plumbers lose money on bookings from addresses they do not serve, and lose goodwill on fees a customer hears about for the first time at the door. Both are website problems. ServiceTitan works in zones for dispatch, and Scheduling Pro books only within the zones you set. A custom site should check the ZIP code before it offers a time, and say clearly when an address is outside the area, ideally with a page for each town you do serve.
As for the fee: ServiceTitan's own AI Voice Agent ends calls that book an appointment with a disclaimer about possible service or diagnostic fees. A website should be at least as candid, in the same words your CSRs use. Service-area pages and fee pages are part of our plumbing website design work, and the towns you target in ads are covered on our plumbing marketing page.
License and proof: what a plumbing buyer checks, and what Texas requires
The master plumber's number
In Texas, 22 TAC 367.10 requires every advertisement soliciting plumbing work to state the Responsible Master Plumber's license number, with exceptions such as third-party aggregated listings. A website is advertising. Other states set their own rules.
The right licensing board
Texas plumbers are licensed by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, not TDLR, and homeowners can check a license through the board's online lookup. Link to it; confidence is cheap.
Bonding and insurance, stated plainly
The Bleuwave Plumbing rebuild treats license and bonding proof as core site data, wired in alongside service-area routing and the cost path, not as a footer badge.
Reviews by job type
Google says more reviews and positive ratings can help local ranking. A slab leak review belongs on the slab leak page. Our reviews guide covers asking every customer at job completion.
The same licensing lookups and reviews are what AI assistants read when someone asks for a plumber, which our plumbing AI search guide explains.
The big tickets: water heaters, repipes and sewer lines
What the page can promise
- A clear explanation of tank, tankless and repair options
- A visit booked at a time the customer chose
- Which financing partners you work with, and that the plumber will explain them
- What a camera inspection is and why it comes before a sewer quote
- Published price ranges, if you are willing to stand behind them
What waits for the plumber
- The estimate itself, written in ServiceTitan
- The financing application, which ServiceTitan describes being handed to the customer on the technician's device
- Any diagnosis behind a wall or under a slab
- Membership sign-up, if the office prefers to sell it in person
- The final price
ServiceTitan's help center lists financing integrations with Wells Fargo, GreenSky, Financeit, Synchrony, Service Finance and TURNS, and requires an active financing merchant account first. Plumbing maintenance plans can be sold online the same way HVAC clubs are, as our memberships guide shows.
Tracking the 2 a.m. call back to the ad that paid for it
Emergency plumbing is expensive to advertise, which makes it the trade where measurement pays most. ServiceTitan's Google Ads integration counts booked calls, bookings and lead forms as conversions and, with Ads Optimizer, sends completed-job revenue back to Google. Local Services Ads message leads can be captured in ServiceTitan too, a feature in Early Access that delivers a Google tracking number in place of the customer's own. Our guides to Google Ads for plumbers, Local Services Ads in ServiceTitan and call tracking cover each piece.

Questions contractors ask about ServiceTitan integration
Phone first. The emergency page leads with a large tap-to-call number and shutoff advice, and offers a booking only as a fallback. When someone books, the request reaches ServiceTitan as a booking with a high priority, a one-line description of the problem and an address already checked against your service area, so dispatch can act without calling back first.
They can book the visit. A ServiceTitan help article says estimates cannot be created or booked directly from an external website, so the site sends a booking for the estimate appointment, with fuel type, heater style and approximate age in the summary, and your plumber writes the estimate in ServiceTitan afterward.
In Texas, 22 TAC 367.10 requires advertisements soliciting plumbing work to state the Responsible Master Plumber's license number, with some exceptions, and plumbers are licensed by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. Other states have their own rules. We put the number wherever your state requires and link to the licensing lookup.
Check the ZIP code before offering a time. ServiceTitan dispatches by zones, and Scheduling Pro books only within the zones you set; a custom flow does the same check against your list and tells the customer plainly when an address is outside it. Separate pages for each town you serve help the right customers find you in the first place.
Where the water is and whether it is still coming, one fixture or several, gas or electric and tank or tankless for water heaters, the heater's rough age, and whether there is any smell. A gas smell gets an instruction to leave and call the gas company, not a booking. The answers become one readable summary for dispatch.
