Free Map Pack Audit

Check your map visibility

Five fields. The scan runs live against Google. No email until you have seen the preview.

Takes about fifteen seconds. We read public listings and your site’s markup, nothing private.

How Google decides who gets the map

Google publishes three factors for local results. Everything the audit measures is one of them, made visible.

  • Relevance

How well your profile and site match what was searched. The primary category, the services list and the words on your pages decide it.

  • Distance

How far you are from the searcher, or from the place named in the search. You cannot move, but you can set the service area honestly and stop competing from nowhere.

  • Prominence

How well known Google thinks you are: review count and rating, links from local sources, how often the name appears where it should. This is the one that takes time.

What the report scores

  • 01

    Map Visibility

Your position in the three-listing pack for the search, if you are in it at all.

  • 02

    Google Business Profile

Category match, website, phone, address, reviews: the fields that make a profile eligible.

  • 03

    Reviews & Reputation

Your count and rating beside the three businesses ahead of you.

  • 04

    Website Local SEO

Whether the site names the service and the city, works on a phone, loads fast and carries LocalBusiness data.

  • 05

    Competitor Strength

How entrenched the top three are, so the plan is honest about the time it takes.

  • 06

    Local Authority

Whether the site ranks in the regular results for the same search, which feeds the map.

Frequently asked

It runs the search a customer would run, in your city, and looks at three things: the map pack (who is in it and where you are), your Google Business Profile (category, contact details, reviews) and your website (whether it says what you do and where, works on a phone, loads fast and carries LocalBusiness data). It also checks whether your site appears in the regular results for the same search. Those become six scores and one overall Local Visibility Score.

The three factors Google publishes for local results are relevance, distance and prominence, with complete business information, reviews and links feeding them. The audit measures the parts of those you can see and change. It does not claim to know Google's exact math; nobody outside Google does.

Because you should see whether the audit found anything before you hand over an address. The preview shows your visibility band, your strongest and weakest areas and the businesses taking the map. The full report, the six scores and the plan need an email so we can send you a copy you keep.

You get the report on screen and by email, then four short notes over about two weeks: the gap costing you the most, how the top competitor beats you, a twenty-minute routine for reviews and the profile, and finally an offer to fix it for you. Reply to any of them and a person answers.

Yes, and it is written that way. Every item in the plan says what it involves and links to a guide. The Local Visibility Review is there if you would rather have it done; if you take the plan and do it yourself, good.

Anywhere Google shows a map pack. Enter the city and state the way a local would type it, and the scan runs from that location.
