Pay yearly or pay once
Blocksy Pro Pricing in 2026: Which Tier, Which Term, and What a Site Really Costs
Blocksy is one of the few themes left that will still sell you every tier for a single payment. That makes the pricing page look simple. The choice that costs money is not yearly versus lifetime; it is picking the tier, because CreativeThemes will not refund an upgrade or let you step down.

The short answer
As of October 2026, Blocksy Pro costs $69 a year or $199 once for 1 site, $99 a year or $299 once for 10 sites, and $149 a year or $499 once for unlimited sites. Store features start at the $99 Business tier. Refunds are limited to 14 days on a first purchase.

Blocksy's price list, with the lifetime column beside it
Blocksy Pro is not a theme. It is a plugin that replaces the free Blocksy Companion plugin and switches on the paid extensions. The theme stays the same free download from wordpress.org. That means a Blocksy site already runs two parts before it pays anything, and three once it does. Our Blocksy review covers how they behave together; here is what they cost.
| Yearly | Lifetime | Sites | What the tier adds | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blocksy theme and Companion (free) | $0 | $0 | Unlimited | Header and footer builders, Customizer options, performance switches, core WooCommerce styling |
| Personal | $69 | $199 | 1 | Pro modules: Content Blocks, conditional headers, mega menu, custom and local fonts, code snippets |
| Business | $99 | $299 | 10 | Everything in Personal plus pro starter sites, Shop Extra and Post Types Extra |
| Agency | $149 | $499 | Unlimited | Everything in Business plus White Label |
Yearly plans include one year of updates and support. Lifetime plans include lifetime updates, support and premium templates, according to the pricing FAQ. The page does not publish a renewal price for the yearly plans or say whether a renewal discount applies. It does say you will get a renewal notice by email 30 days before the date, and that is the moment to decide.
Personal, Business or Agency: the feature line that decides it
The tiers do not differ much in design tools. Personal already gets nearly every non-store Pro feature. The real dividing line is WooCommerce and blog extras, which start at Business. We read the comparison table on the pricing page row by row; this is what each tier adds.
Personal ($69 or $199) switches on
- Content Blocks (hooks), popups and templates for headers, footers, archives, single posts, 404 and maintenance pages
- Multiple conditional headers, footers and sidebars, plus duplicate header items
- Advanced Menu for mega menus, and a desktop off-canvas drawer
- Custom fonts, Local Google Fonts, Adobe Typekit fonts and custom code snippets
- Extra header elements: search box, contacts, divider, language switcher, dark mode switch
Business ($99 or $299) adds
- Shop Extra: variation swatches, quick view, wishlist, compare, floating and off-canvas cart
- Store tools: AJAX and off-canvas filters, free shipping bar, size guides, custom thank-you pages, sale countdowns
- Post Types Extra: read time, progress bar, posts filter, taxonomy customizations
- Pro starter sites and the shop filter blocks; Agency then adds only White Label
Free Blocksy keeps more than most people expect: the drag-and-drop header and footer builders, sticky and transparent headers, AJAX add to cart, payment icons on product pages and the product variation gallery. A shop selling plain products can run on free. A shop that needs swatches or quick view needs Business, not Personal. Blocksy and WooCommerce goes through those settings in detail.
The refund policy reads looser on the sales page than in the terms
The pricing page promises a "100% No-Risk Money Back Guarantee" for 14 days. The terms and conditions narrow that in ways worth knowing before you click Buy.
- First purchase only. The terms say refunds apply to your first purchase, not to a second license or any later order.
- No refunds on renewals. Renewal payments are excluded, and so is a renewal where the license was used after the renewal date.
- No refunds on upgrades, and no downgrades. Moving from Personal to Business cannot be reversed or refunded.
- A reason is required. Buyers who simply changed their mind, or cannot give a reasonable explanation, are not covered.
- License use is limited. You may use Pro on your own sites and client sites where you had a significant part in design and development, but not bundle it into hosting, maintenance or website-as-a-service packages where you did not.
If you stop renewing, nothing breaks on the day. The FAQ says the site stays intact; you lose new features, updates and support. The risk is the next WordPress or WooCommerce release. The 2.1.50 update broke single-product layouts for some stores and threw a fatal error on some sites without WooCommerce, and fixes like those arrive only through updates. Blocksy update broke my site covers the rollback.
What a Blocksy brochure site and a Blocksy store cost by year three
Here are two typical builds, each on one site. Plugin prices appear only where we checked the vendor's own pricing page today. A caching plugin is optional on hosts that cache at the server; we include one because many owners buy it.
| Brochure on Personal, year one | Brochure, three years | Store on Business, year one | Store, three years | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blocksy Pro, yearly | $69 | $207 | $99 | $297 |
| Blocksy Pro, lifetime instead | $199 | $199 | $299 | $299 |
| WP Rocket Single (1 website) | $59.95 | $179.85 | $59.95 | $179.85 |
| Gravity Forms Basic (1 site) | $59 | $177 | Free form plugin | $0 |
| Verified total with yearly Blocksy | $187.95 | $563.85 | $158.95 | $476.85 |
| Verified total with lifetime Blocksy | $317.95 | $555.85 | $358.95 | $478.85 |
| SEO, backups, security, hosting | Category only | Recurring | Category only | Recurring |
Two things stand out. By year three the theme is no longer the largest line on either build; the companion plugins are. And by the end of year three the yearly and lifetime routes cost almost exactly the same, so the choice turns on how long you expect to stay. A store also adds payment gateway fees and often paid WooCommerce extensions, which we have not priced. If the store layout misbehaves after an update, see Blocksy WooCommerce layout broken.
The break-even year for each Blocksy lifetime license
| Yearly, three-year total | Lifetime | Lifetime is cheaper from | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Personal | $207 | $199 | Year three |
| Business | $297 | $299 | Year four |
| Agency | $447 | $499 | Year four |
The table assumes yearly renewals cost what year one cost. The vendor does not publish renewal prices, so if renewals are discounted, the break-even moves later; if they rise, it moves sooner. Ask before you decide. A lifetime license is also a wager on the vendor: it lasts as long as CreativeThemes keeps developing Blocksy Pro. The theme's steady release schedule is a good sign; it updated on October 2, 2026, the most recent of the themes we checked.
Lifetime licenses are cheapest for the owner who is sure, and most expensive for the one who rebuilds in year two.
Buying Blocksy without paying for the wrong tier
- 1.Decide on the store before the tier. Personal has no Shop Extra. Because upgrades are not refundable and downgrades do not exist, buying Personal for a shop and moving up later is the expensive order.
- 2.Run free first. Build the site on the free theme and Companion, list the exact Pro features you missed, then buy the smallest tier that has them.
- 3.Choose lifetime only for a site you will keep three years or more. Any shorter and yearly is cheaper.
- 4.Use the 30-day renewal email. It is your last chance to cancel before a charge the refund policy will not cover.
- 5.Agencies, read the license use clause. If you sell hosting or maintenance on sites you did not design, the Agency license does not cover them.
- 6.Use your 14 days. The refund needs a reason, so test the features you paid for straight away and write down what fails.
If you are still choosing a theme, the license terms differ sharply between rivals: Astra vs Blocksy, Kadence vs Blocksy and GeneratePress vs Blocksy set them side by side, and store owners should read Flatsome vs Blocksy. Speed settings that need no license are in our Blocksy speed guide.
Three years of Blocksy money, spent on a site that has no license
Blocksy is good value, and for a brochure site or a modest store it may be the right answer for years. The cost that does not show in the tables is upkeep: a theme, a companion plugin and a Pro plugin that must stay in step with WordPress, WooCommerce and every other plugin. When one slips, the bill is someone's afternoon, and our theme repair team sees plenty of them.
A Next.js build removes that layer. Pages are prerendered and served from a CDN, images are resized by next/image, and the features are written into one tested codebase rather than rented from three vendors. It costs more up front and needs a developer for new page types. Owners edit it in Athena CMS, which includes built-in e-commerce, keeps every version, and runs agents such as Picasso, which makes sure every image is described and sized, and Demeter, which drafts seasonal offers for approval.
The fair comparison is over several years, which is what WordPress vs Next.js cost and the cost of a WordPress to Next.js move lay out. For Blocksy specifically, read Blocksy vs Next.js and Blocksy to Next.js. Every theme we price is in the WordPress themes hub.
Questions people ask before they call
As of October 2026: Personal is $69 a year or $199 lifetime for 1 site, Business is $99 a year or $299 lifetime for 10 sites, and Agency is $149 a year or $499 lifetime for unlimited sites. Renewal prices for the yearly plans are not published on the pricing page.
If you will run the site for at least three years, usually yes. Personal lifetime beats yearly in year three; Business and Agency in year four, assuming renewals at list price. If there is a real chance you will rebuild or switch platforms within two years, the yearly plan costs less.
Business or Agency. Shop Extra, which adds swatches, quick view, wishlist, compare, off-canvas filters and the floating cart, is not in the Personal plan. Free Blocksy still handles core shop styling, AJAX add to cart and product variation galleries, so a simple store may not need Pro at all.
Within 14 days of a first purchase, if you give a reasonable explanation, according to the terms. Renewals, upgrades and later purchases are not refundable, and upgrades cannot be reversed. The vendor emails a renewal notice 30 days ahead, so you can cancel before an automatic renewal is charged.
The site keeps working. You lose updates, new features and support, according to the pricing FAQ. Because Blocksy Pro, Companion and the theme must stay in step, an unrenewed Pro plugin can fall behind the free theme over time. Test updates on staging before applying them to a live store.
