House Cleaning Website Design: Instant Quotes, Online Booking and Proof You Belong Inside

At 9:40 on a Sunday night someone decides the house will be spotless before the in-laws land on Friday. They will not call. They want a price for three bedrooms and two baths, an open slot, and a reason to believe the people coming are honest. The site that offers all three gets the booking.

The short answer

A house cleaning website should quote a price from the home's size and the type of clean, let the client book a slot and set a recurring schedule, and show who will come inside: insurance, screening, the team and real reviews. DataCram builds custom sites from $1,750; a site with online booking or a quote flow runs about $9,000.

What a cleaning company's site has to get done after hours

Cleaning clients shop at night and on weekends, when your office is closed and your teams are home. The website is the only staff member on duty. These are the jobs it has to finish without help.

Give a price in seconds

Bedrooms, bathrooms, type of clean and add-ons in; a starting price out, with the conditions that can change it.

Fill a slot

Show real open times by area and team, take the booking, and confirm by text and email.

Start the recurring plan

Weekly, biweekly or monthly, with the terms shown before payment and a skip or pause option.

Answer the trust question

Who comes, how they are screened, what insurance covers, how keys and door codes are handled.

Serve property managers

A move-out booking path built for people ordering cleans on several units, often against a deadline.

Recruit cleaners

A careers page and short application, because the schedule can only grow as fast as the teams.

Trust, terms and claims the site must get right

Texas does not license residential cleaning, so the site carries the burden of proof that a license would elsewhere. Every trust statement on it should be specific and true: which insurance you carry, whether you are bonded, which screening you run. Claim only what you do. Reviews need the same honesty: the FTC's 2024 rule forbids fake and AI-written reviews and undisclosed reviews from staff, and Google's review snippet rules make a company's reviews of itself ineligible for star results, so we publish reviews as plain text.

  • Recurring billing: the Negative Option Rule and ROSCA still apply after the Eighth Circuit vacated the FTC's 2024 click-to-cancel rule. The plan page states terms before the card form, records consent, and the client account has a cancellation path that works.
  • Green claims: the FTC's Green Guides (16 CFR 260.4) treat an unqualified general environmental claim as deceptive and cover services. The site names products and practices rather than saying "eco-friendly" alone.
  • Sales tax: the Texas Comptroller says charges to clean a home are taxable, so quoted prices say whether tax is included.
  • Door codes and keys: state how they are stored and who sees them, in words a client can read before booking.

Fast pages and forms that work with a thumb

Most cleaning bookings start on a phone, often on a couch, sometimes in a car outside the house that needs cleaning. The quote calculator and calendar have to work there first.

  • Quote and booking steps that fit a phone screen without pinching or sideways scrolling.
  • Large date and time targets; nobody should book Tuesday when they meant Thursday.
  • Pages that load quickly on mobile data, part of our site speed and Core Web Vitals work.
  • Forms that keep entered details if a connection drops mid-booking.
  • Readable contrast, labeled fields and keyboard support, built to accessibility standards.

Our guide to how fast a website should load explains the targets. The practical test: hand the phone to someone who has never seen the site and time how long it takes them to book a deep clean.

Making prices and checklists legible to Google, Siri and ChatGPT

Here is a trap specific to this trade. A quote calculator is usually JavaScript, and Vercel's December 2024 look at AI crawlers found that OpenAI's, Anthropic's and Perplexity's bots did not execute it. To those crawlers, prices that exist only inside a calculator do not exist. So every cleaning site we build pairs the calculator with a plain price table and checklist text that Next.js renders into the HTML on the server. A well-built WordPress site can also serve that text; what matters is that it is there before any script runs.

The pages also carry structured data in code: LocalBusiness markup with a Service entry for each clean type and the towns you serve, matched to the visible text. Listings, reviews and the rest of the AI picture are covered in GEO for house cleaning services, and the crawler mechanics in JavaScript and AI crawlers.

If the price only lives inside the calculator, half the AI crawlers never see it.

Athena agents on a cleaning company site

Every DataCram build comes with Athena CMS, so the office can change a price, a checklist line or a holiday schedule in a form field. Its agents prepare drafts and changes for someone on your team to approve. For a cleaning company, these earn their keep.

Echo

Drafts responses to new Google, Yelp and Facebook reviews, raises complaints about breakage or missed rooms to the top, and puts strong quotes on the matching clean-type page.

Hestia

Makes holiday closures and changed hours appear the same way on the site, Google, Apple and Bing, so nobody books a day you are closed.

Harmonia

Prepares Spanish pages and catches accessibility problems before clients do.

Prometheus

Notices questions clients keep asking, such as whether to be home during the first clean, and drafts the answer page.

Argus

Watches the site and raises an alarm when something breaks, such as a booking form that stops sending.

What a cleaning site costs and how we build it

Our custom sites are quoted once, in writing, from $1,750 for a new build or rebuild. A client login area or other web app raises the starting figure to $3,500. Most cleaning companies want the calculator and calendar, and a site with online booking or an estimate flow sits near $9,000 on the web design pricing page. With 0% financing, a quarter is due up front: twelve months are available on any project, twenty-four from $15,000, thirty-six from $20,000. That $9,000 booking site works out to $2,250 at signing and $562.50 a month for a year. Hosting and maintenance can follow launch.

When a booking app and a template will do

Plenty of cleaning companies run well on a hosted booking tool embedded in a Wix or Squarespace template. If you clean with one or two helpers, book mostly by referral and do not need town pages, that setup is cheaper and probably enough; our comparisons with Wix and Squarespace are frank about it. A custom site pays off when you run several teams, sell recurring plans online, want Spanish pages, or need the prices and checklists that search engines and AI can read.

Bringing traffic to the site is the subject of house cleaning marketing. For the bigger picture, see home services websites, home services marketing, the full list under website design by industry, and our work for cleaning services.

Questions owners ask before a new website

A fixed-price custom site from DataCram starts at $1,750. With a client login area the starting point is $3,500, and a site with online booking or a quote flow is about $9,000. Financing at 0% needs a quarter down. The free mockup comes before any quote.

Yes. A quote calculator takes bedrooms, bathrooms, clean type and add-ons and returns a starting price with its conditions. We also publish a plain price table, because several AI crawlers do not run the JavaScript a calculator depends on. Both show the same numbers.

Yes. They choose a frequency, see the terms before entering payment details, and can skip, reschedule or cancel from their account. Federal subscription rules still require clear terms, consent and a workable cancellation path. Reminder texts before each visit help avoid lockouts and surprised clients.

Only what is true, in plain text: the insurance you carry, whether you are bonded, and the screening you actually run. Put it on a team and trust page, not in an image, so clients and search engines can read it.

Handled carefully, no. Pages that already earn traffic keep their addresses or redirect to their new versions, along with their titles and content. Some short-term movement while Google recrawls is normal. You get the full redirect list so you can check it yourself.

If a share of your clients or applicants prefer Spanish, yes. Athena's Harmonia agent drafts Spanish pages, and a fluent reader on your side checks them before they go live. Booking steps, confirmations and reminder texts need translating too, not just the home page.
