Websites for restorers
Water Damage Restoration Website Design, Built for a Phone in a Wet Hand
Your next customer will meet your website with one thumb, at night, on a phone at 15% battery, while water drips through a light fixture. She will give it a few seconds. The site has to say who you are, that you are coming, and how to call, before she backs out and taps the next result.

The short answer
A water damage restoration website must turn a panicked visitor into a phone call in seconds: a tap-to-call button on every screen, clear 24-hour availability, a page for each town you serve, and plain pages on insurance, drying and mold that follow Texas rules. DataCram builds them from a fixed $1,750, and every one includes Athena CMS.

What the site has to do in the first ten seconds
Most visitors to a restoration site are not browsing. They are deciding whether to call you or the next company. Everything above the fold exists to settle that, and the rest of the site supports the slower visitors: the adjuster checking your credentials, the property manager vetting a vendor, the homeowner reading up the morning after.
Get the call
A phone number and a call button that never scroll out of reach, with the words 24 hours only if a person truly answers at 3 a.m.
Confirm the town
The visitor needs to see her town or county named before she calls. Town pages do that for every place you dispatch.
Take a request when calling is hard
A short form or text option with address and photos, for the caller who is standing in water or whose phone signal is weak.
Show you are legitimate
IICRC certification, TDLR mold license if you hold one, insurance and real photos of your trucks and crew.
Calm the insurance worry
A plain page on what happens with the carrier, written so it is accurate and legal.
The page list for a restoration company
| The reason | What goes on it | |
|---|---|---|
| Emergency header | The visitor's only goal is to reach you | Sticky call button, hours stated honestly, a text or request option |
| Town and county pages | Searchers and AI engines confirm you serve their area | Response times you actually keep, local landmarks, neighborhoods, nearby jobs |
| Water damage process | Homeowners want to know what happens after they hang up | Arrival, inspection, extraction, drying, monitoring, rebuild handoff |
| Insurance page | The second question everyone asks | How you document damage, what the adjuster does, a clear statement that the policyholder owes the deductible |
| Mold page | Leaks lead to mold questions, and Texas licenses the work | TDLR license details if held, the assessor and remediator split, the Consumer Mold Information Sheet |
| Certifications and insurance | Adjusters and managers check before they refer | IICRC firm and technician certifications, insurance, a link to the IICRC locator |
| Commercial and property managers | Repeat accounts and larger losses | Response plan, documentation, a named contact, a vendor packet request |
| Storm and freeze page | Surges need a page ready before the weather | What to do first, how to reach you, which areas you are covering this week |
The roofing demo's storm center shows how an event page can work. DataCram built it as a demonstration rather than for a client, but the pattern carries straight over to a freeze or flood week.
Licenses, certificates and the deductible notice
A restoration site makes claims about licenses, insurance money and mold, and Texas regulates all three. Getting them right protects the business and reads as competence to adjusters. We are not lawyers or compliance consultants. We write inside these rules, and your attorney signs off on contract and claim wording.
- Mold. TDLR licenses mold assessment and remediation, and licensed companies carry at least $1 million general liability per occurrence. One person may not do both on the same project, and clients must get the Consumer Mold Information Sheet before work begins. Offer mold work on the site only under a matching license. Texas SB 1255 changed parts of the law in September 2025, so date the page.
- Deductibles. Texas Business and Commerce Code 27.02 bans advertising or promising to pay, waive or rebate a deductible. Contracts of $1,000 or more paid by a claim must include a notice that the policyholder owes it.
- Claims. Insurance Code 4102.163 bars contractors from acting as public adjusters or advertising to adjust claims. "We work with your adjuster" is fine; "we handle your claim" is not.
- Badges. Describe Local Services Ads screening as Google Verified; the old Google Guarantee has been retired.
- Reviews. The FTC prohibits fake reviews, AI-generated ones included, and staff reviews that hide who wrote them. Use real customer words, with their permission.
Fast on a weak signal, readable in a dark hallway
Restoration visitors are on phones, often on poor signal in a house with the power off. A slow page here does not cost a little conversion; it costs the call. We prerender pages so the text and call button arrive in the first bytes, size images for phone screens, and keep scripts off the critical path. The website speed guide explains the targets, and our Core Web Vitals work fixes existing sites.
Readability matters as much as speed. Large type, strong contrast for a screen dimmed to save battery, buttons big enough for a wet thumb, and a layout that works with the phone's text size turned up. The same choices help visitors using screen readers; our ADA compliance service covers the rest.
Search, maps and AI answers start on the site
When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Siri for a 24-hour restoration company, the engine checks your hours, area and credentials against your site and listings. Prerendered pages put those facts in the HTML that AI crawlers fetch, and LocalBusiness structured data states the hours (Google's guidance for 24-hour businesses is 00:00 to 23:59) to match what the page shows. The restoration GEO page covers the listings and registries, and restoration marketing covers the channels that send traffic.
Every site includes Athena CMS, and several agents fit this trade. Hestia keeps hours, phone and address identical across the site and listings, holiday hours included. Echo drafts review replies and flags unhappy customers first. Delphi asks the AI engines what they say about you and spots wrong hours or claims. Argus watches the site, so a broken call button or a form that stops sending is caught before a storm. Agents draft; you approve.
Price, financing and what moves the quote
Every price is fixed before work starts. The floor for a custom build or rebuild is $1,750. Adding a booking calendar or a request flow puts a typical site near $9,000, as listed on our web design pricing page, while a portal or web app, such as a page where customers check job status, moves the starting point to $3,500. Town pages, the commercial section and integrations decide where you land, and the figure comes after a free audit or the free mockup.
Website financing carries 0% interest after 25% down. Any project can be spread across as many as 12 months; projects from $15,000 can stretch to 24, and from $20,000 to 36. Worked through on $9,000: $2,250 at the start, then twelve payments of $562.50. For upkeep, our hosting and maintenance plans keep the site patched and watched.
How a restoration site gets built
- 1
Free mockup
Your home page, emergency header and all, designed by us and sent over free. No obligation attached.
- 2
Fixed quote
Town pages, insurance and mold pages, commercial section and any request flow, priced in writing.
- 3
Facts first
We collect your licenses, certifications, service area and true hours, so every claim on the site is one you can back.
- 4
Build and phone test
You review on your own phone, and we time the path from landing to call on a slow connection.
- 5
Launch with redirects
Old addresses kept or pointed to their new pages, listings updated to match, and tracking on every call button.
When a template site will do
If you run one truck in one town, answer every call yourself and get most work from two plumbers who know you, a clean Wix or Squarespace site with your number in large type may be all you need. Our Wix comparison is honest about that. A custom site earns its cost when you cover several counties, chase commercial accounts, compete with franchises on the map, or need the insurance and mold pages done carefully. Questions owners ask before a new website
Speed and clarity under stress: a call button always in reach, honest 24-hour availability, pages for each town you serve, and plain pages on your process, insurance and mold. Certifications and insurance should be easy to find for adjusters and property managers. Everything must load fast on a phone with a weak signal.
The starting point is $1,750, fixed in writing. Most restoration sites with a request or booking flow come in around $9,000 per our pricing page, and a portal or web app starts from $3,500. Financing is 0% after 25% down, so $9,000 becomes $2,250 up front and twelve payments of $562.50.
You can explain how you document damage and work alongside the adjuster. In Texas you cannot advertise paying, waiving or rebating a deductible, and contractors cannot act as public adjusters or advertise to adjust claims. We write the insurance page within those rules, and your attorney approves it.
For the towns you actually dispatch to, yes. Visitors and AI engines both want to confirm you serve their area, and a single list of thirty towns confirms little. Each page should state your real response time and local details, not the same text with the name swapped.
Yes, as a second option. Some visitors cannot talk, are standing in water, or have weak signal. A short request form or text option with address and photos catches them. The call button stays first.
You can in Athena CMS, and its Hestia agent keeps hours, phone and address consistent across the site and your listings, holiday hours included, for your approval. Wrong hours are one of the most common reasons AI engines and maps tell callers you are closed.
