Websites for B2B companies

B2B Website Design for Long Sales Cycles, Buying Committees and Franchise Networks

Nobody buys a $60,000 service contract from a home page. A buyer might visit six times over four months, forward a page to a colleague, download a spec sheet, check a case study, and only then fill in a form. A B2B website has to be useful on every one of those visits, to every one of those people.

The short answer

B2B website design builds a site for a long, shared purchase: pages for each role on the buying committee and each industry served, case studies with numbers, spec sheets and pricing guidance on the page, and forms that route leads into HubSpot or Salesforce. DataCram builds them at a fixed price from $1,750, from $3,500 with a portal, after a free mockup.

Six jobs a B2B site does while sales is busy

A consumer site mostly has one visitor and one moment. A business-to-business site has a committee and a calendar. The engineer wants tolerances, the finance lead wants terms, the operations manager wants to know who answers the phone at 2 a.m., and the executive wants one page that proves you have done this before. The site works the whole time your salespeople are not in the room.

Qualify before the first call

Pricing ranges, minimums, lead times and service areas on the page, so the wrong prospects leave politely and the right ones arrive informed.

Arm the internal champion

The person who found you has to sell you upstairs. Give them a page they can forward, a one-page summary and a case study from their industry.

Answer each role on the committee

Separate paths for technical, financial and operational readers, each written in that reader's vocabulary.

Capture the right request

A quote request, a demo booking, a sample order and a general inquiry are four different forms with four different owners.

Feed the CRM cleanly

Every form lands in HubSpot or Salesforce with its source, campaign and page attached, assigned to the right rep.

Serve customers you already have

Reorders, documents, support tickets and account details, because retention is where B2B margin hides.

Pages a business-to-business website cannot skip

Pages and features for a B2B website
Page or featureWhy it mattersWhat it includes
Industry pagesBuyers trust a supplier who already serves their sectorProblems specific to that industry, the relevant case study, compliance or certification notes
Role pagesThe CFO and the plant manager read different pagesCost and terms for finance, specs and integration for technical staff, onboarding for operations
Case studiesProof outweighs adjectives in a committee decisionThe client's situation, the work, measurable results the client approved, and a named contact if they agree
Spec sheets and documentationEngineers want numbers before they talk to salesSpecs as HTML on the page, with a PDF as a convenience rather than the only copy
Pricing guidanceHiding all pricing filters out nobody and annoys everyoneRanges, minimums, what changes the price, and what the first project usually looks like
Quote, demo and sample requestsEach request has a different next stepShort forms with conditional fields, file upload for drawings, a calendar for demos
Account-based landing pagesTarget accounts deserve a page that speaks to themPages for one company or one vertical, kept out of search with noindex when they name a prospect
Client portalCustomers reorder, download and ask without email chainsOrder history, documents, invoices and tickets behind a login

For a working example, see DataCram Textiles, a demonstration site we built for a fictional automotive textile supplier. It puts full spec sheets for five materials on the page, labels which part of a vehicle cabin each one is for, and publishes lead times instead of hiding them behind a discovery call. Manufacturers will find more on our manufacturing page, and consultancies and agencies on professional services.

Marketing CRM integration and lead routing that sales trusts

The most common B2B website failure is not design. It is a form that emails a shared inbox nobody owns, or that drops leads into the CRM with no source, no campaign and no owner. Sales stops trusting the website, marketing cannot prove anything, and the argument about lead quality never ends because nobody has the data.

  1. 1

    Map the requests

List every reason someone contacts you and who should answer: quote, demo, sample, partnership, support, careers. Each gets its own form or its own branch.

  2. 2

    Connect the CRM

Forms post into HubSpot or Salesforce through their APIs, with hidden fields for page, campaign and source so attribution survives. Our API integrations team handles the connection and the field mapping.

  3. 3

    Route and dedupe

Assign by territory, company size or product line, match existing contacts and accounts instead of creating duplicates, and alert the owner within minutes.

  4. 4

    Track to revenue

Tag form submissions and booked calls as conversions, then report on opportunities and closed deals, not raw form counts. Conversion tracking setup covers the plumbing.

Gated content needs a decision, not a habit. A whitepaper behind a form collects contact details; the same paper as an open page can be read by search engines and AI crawlers and quoted to buyers who never visit. Our practice is to leave explanations and specs open and gate only what is truly worth an email address, such as a calculator output or a benchmark built from your own data. Conversion rate optimization tests where that line sits for your buyers.

Dallas franchise web design: one brand, many locations

Franchise systems have a split personality online. Head office wants one brand, one voice and one set of approved claims. Each location wants to rank in its own town, show its own hours and staff, and answer its own reviews. A franchise website has to give both what they need without letting forty franchisees edit the logo.

  • Location pages with real local content: address, hours, services offered at that location, staff, photos and local reviews, not the same paragraph with the city name swapped.
  • Locked brand, editable local fields: franchisees update hours, specials and photos in fields head office defines; layout, claims and legal copy stay locked.
  • One source of truth for listings: each location's name, address and phone match its Google Business Profile, Apple Business and Bing Places listings.
  • A separate franchise development section: the pages that recruit new owners, kept apart from the customer site.
  • Lead routing by location: a request from Plano reaches the Plano owner, not head office, with a copy for reporting.

Proof, reviews and the claims a case study can make

B2B buyers discount marketing copy and believe peers. That makes case studies, client logos and testimonials the most valuable content on the site, and the most regulated. The FTC's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) require clear disclosure of material connections, so a client who received a discount or free work in exchange for a quote should be disclosed as such. The FTC's rule on reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465) bans fake or AI-generated testimonials and undisclosed testimonials from the company's own officers, managers or employees. Results in a case study should be numbers the client approved in writing.

For software companies, the review platforms matter as much as the site. G2's community guidelines ban incentives tied to positive reviews, cap incentives at $100 and prohibit asking only happy customers, and G2 agreed in January 2026 to acquire Capterra, Software Advice and GetApp. Ask every customer the same way, and link the profiles from your site. Our SaaS page covers that world in more detail.

Fast, accessible and readable by search engines and AI

Committee members open your site on a phone in a parking lot and on a 32-inch monitor in a conference room. Pages should load fast on both, meet WCAG accessibility guidelines so procurement teams with accessibility requirements can sign off, and keep text in the HTML rather than painting it in with scripts. Our sites are built in Next.js and server-rendered, so specs, case studies and FAQs are in the page that search engines and AI crawlers fetch. Site speed and Core Web Vitals explains the measures we hold every build to.

B2B buyers increasingly ask ChatGPT or Google's AI Mode for a shortlist of suppliers before they search. Being on that list depends on the same public record a buyer checks: clear pages about what you do and for whom, consistent listings, case studies and mentions on industry sites. A site cannot guarantee a mention, but a vague one nearly guarantees an absence. How AI chooses businesses explains the mechanism, and GEO for Dallas-Fort Worth covers the local side.

B2B website design for Dallas-Fort Worth companies, built from San Antonio

DataCram is based in San Antonio and builds for B2B companies across Texas and the US. We work with Dallas-Fort Worth firms remotely and on site when a project needs it; we do not have a Dallas office and will not pretend to. Local details are on our Dallas web design page and the Dallas area overview. When the site is live, Dallas SEO and Dallas local marketing, including pay-per-click advertising with spend billed to your own Google account, bring the buyers in.

Every custom site includes Athena CMS. Its agents draft for your approval: Prometheus finds questions buyers ask that the site does not answer and drafts the page, Calliope drafts articles, Iris writes titles, descriptions and structured data, Ariadne threads internal links between industry, role and case study pages, and Ares watches competitors' sites. For franchises, Hestia keeps each location's hours, phone and address the same everywhere, and Echo drafts replies to each location's reviews.

What a B2B build costs and how it runs

Custom builds and rebuilds are a fixed price starting at $1,750. Sites with a client portal, a reorder system or a web app start at $3,500, and a site with online booking or an estimate flow is about $9,000 on the web design pricing page. Financing is 0% with 25% down, up to 12 months on any project, 24 months from $15,000 and 36 months from $20,000; a $9,000 site is $2,250 down and $562.50 a month for twelve months (website financing). Deeper portals are scoped under web app development, and hosting and maintenance plans are available.

  1. 1

    Free mockup

We design your home page around your buyers and send it, no obligation.

  2. 2

    Fixed quote

Pages, forms, CRM connections and portal scope written down, with one price.

  3. 3

    Build on a preview

Content, integrations and lead routing tested end to end before anything goes live.

  4. 4

    Launch with redirects kept

Every old URL redirected to its new home, forms tested in the CRM, Search Console watched for errors.

Honestly, not every B2B company needs us. A three-person consultancy with one service and no CRM can launch on Squarespace or Webflow and spend the difference on case studies. Call when the site has to route leads, serve committees, run a portal or carry dozens of locations. Other industries are under website design.

Questions owners ask before a new website

B2B sites serve several readers over a long decision: technical staff, finance, operations and executives, often across months. They need role and industry pages, case studies, spec sheets, pricing guidance and forms that route into a CRM. Consumer sites usually aim at one buyer and one quick purchase.

Yes. Forms post into HubSpot or Salesforce through their APIs with hidden fields for source, campaign and page, leads are matched to existing contacts and assigned by territory or product line, and conversions are tracked to opportunities. See API integrations for the kinds of connections we build.

Yes. We build a brand site with locked layout and legal copy, plus location pages that franchisees update through defined fields: hours, staff, photos and offers. Each location's details match its listings, and leads route to the right owner. Recruiting pages are kept separate and reviewed by your franchise counsel.

DataCram's custom builds are a fixed price from $1,750, and sites with a client portal, store or web app start at $3,500. The quote follows a free audit or the free mockup. Financing is 0% with 25% down for up to 12 months on any project, longer on larger ones.

Gate less than you think. Open pages can be found in search, quoted by AI answers and forwarded inside a buying committee. Gate only content worth an email address, such as a tool's output or original benchmark data, and keep explanations and specs open.
