SEO & AI Search Visibility

One monthly program for both kinds of reader — Google's index and the AI answer engines — with whether you are named in the answer measured every month.

Being found now means being found by two kinds of reader

Search has split. One reader is still Google's index, returning ten links to a query. The other is an answer engine — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google's own AI Overviews, the assistant on a phone — that reads the web and gives one answer, naming a few sources and sometimes a business. A site can rank well with the first and be invisible to the second, and increasingly the second is where the question was asked.

This is an ongoing program that works for both. Not a one-time audit and not a monthly report of rankings alone: a service that makes the site the clearest, most citable answer to the questions its customers ask, measures whether search engines and answer engines are actually using it, and adjusts every month based on what they did.

The classical half is real SEO — technical health, speed, site structure, content built around the searches that turn into customers, local signals for local businesses. It has not stopped mattering. Answer engines draw on the same index and the same crawl, and a page that Google will not rank is a page an AI will not cite either.

The other half is what we have been writing about in our Insights for a year: pages structured as direct answers, entity clarity so a machine knows exactly who you are and what you do, the schema that describes services and locations in a form a model can read, and the plain, quotable sentences that end up in a generated answer with your name beside them.

Measurement is the part most agencies skip because it is hard. We track the questions that matter to you across the major answer engines, record whether your business is named and what is said about it, and report it beside the classical rankings and traffic. When an engine's answer changes, we see it, and the next month's work is chosen from that — not from a checklist.

The three pages under this one go deeper on the specific engines: generative search optimization, getting recommended by AI assistants, and voice and ambient answers. This page is the program that runs them together, month after month, for a business that wants to be the answer wherever the question is asked.

WHAT THE PROGRAM DOES

One program for search engines and answer engines

Technical foundation

Speed, crawlability, structure and Core Web Vitals kept healthy, because both readers start there.

Content that answers

Pages built around real customer questions, written to be read by a person and quoted by a machine.

Entity clarity

Schema, consistent naming and clear service definitions, so a model knows exactly who you are.

Local signals

Profiles, citations and reviews kept current for the businesses whose customers search by place.

Answer-engine tracking

The questions that matter, checked across the major engines monthly: named or not, and what is said.

Monthly, from evidence

Next month's work chosen from what the engines did last month, reported in one page you can read.

Ranking on Google and missing from the answer?

We will check the questions your customers ask across the major answer engines and show you, in one page, where you appear and where you do not. Free.

THREE LENSES

Indexed, cited, and measured

SEO

Still the foundation

Answer engines read the same crawl. A page Google will not rank is a page an AI will not cite.

AI

Written to be quoted

Direct answers, clear entities and readable schema are what end up in a generated response.

PROOF

Tracked, not assumed

Whether you are named in the answer is measured every month, beside rankings and traffic.

How the program runs

1

Baseline

Rankings, traffic, technical health and a first answer-engine check across the questions that matter.

2

Foundation

Technical fixes, structure and entity work in the first months, so everything after can land.

3

Content and citations

Answer-shaped pages and local signals, published on a calendar and measured on release.

4

Monthly loop

Read what the engines did, report it plainly, and choose the next month's work from it.

Questions

Frequently asked

Both, and that is the point. Answer engines read the same crawl Google does, so technical health, structure and content still decide whether a page can be used at all. What is new is writing pages to be quoted as an answer, making the business unambiguous to a machine, and measuring whether the engines actually name you. One program does all of it.

We keep a list of the questions that matter to your business and check them each month across the major answer engines — whether your business is named, what is said, and which sources are cited. That sits in the monthly report beside classical rankings and traffic, and the next month's work is chosen from it.

No, and be wary of anyone who does. Answer engines change constantly and do not publish their methods. What we can do is make the site the clearest, most citable answer to the questions you want to own, measure the result, and adjust. That is the same honest position as with search rankings.

Monthly, with a defined scope of technical work, content and reporting, and no long contract. The right tier depends on how competitive your searches are and how much content the site needs; we set it after the baseline and adjust it as the numbers come in.

The foundation stays. What is added is entity and schema work so a model knows exactly who you are, content shaped as direct answers, and the answer-engine measurement most SEO reports do not include. If your current SEO is sound, this is an addition rather than a replacement.
