Website Suspended by the Host

Your host turned the site off, and they had a reason.
The site is replaced by a suspension notice from the hosting company, or returns a 403 across every page. Access to the control panel may also be blocked.
What it actually means
Suspension is deliberate. A host does not take a site offline lightly, because doing so costs them a customer's goodwill. When they do, it is because leaving it up costs them more — in unpaid bills, in server resources, or in the reputation damage of hosting something harmful.
There are effectively three reasons, and identifying which one you are facing determines everything about how quickly you get back. Billing is the fastest to resolve. Resource abuse is a conversation. Malware is real work, and no host will restore a compromised site until it is genuinely clean.

An expired card or a notice sent to an unread mailbox. The most common reason and the quickest to fix.

The site consumed more CPU, memory, or bandwidth than the plan allows, affecting other sites on shared hosting.

A compromised site sending spam or serving malicious content. Hosts suspend these quickly to protect their network.

Prohibited content, copyright complaints, or activity the host does not allow.

A DDoS attack or traffic flood
Sometimes suspension is protective rather than punitive.
How to fix it
Work through these in order. Take a backup before you change anything.
Step 1 — Read the notice and contact support
The suspension message or the ticket states the reason. Everything else depends on knowing which of the three it is.
Step 2 — Settle billing first if that is the cause
Pay, then ask for immediate reinstatement. This is usually resolved within hours.
Step 3 — Ask for the evidence on resource abuse
Request the logs showing what consumed the resources. It is often a bot crawl, a runaway plugin, or a backup job rather than genuine traffic.
Step 4 — Clean thoroughly if it is malware
Remove the infection, close the entry point, and rotate credentials before requesting review. A partial clean gets suspended again within days.
Step 5 — Take a backup the moment you are back
Get a full copy off the server immediately, before doing anything else. Suspension is a reminder that access can vanish without warning.

Call someone if the suspension is for malware or spam, since hosts require a genuinely clean site before restoring and a superficial cleanup wastes days, or if resource abuse keeps recurring — that means the site has outgrown its hosting and needs optimizing or moving rather than arguing about.
