Squarespace Forms Not Sending

The form says thank you. Your inbox stays empty.
Visitors submit the contact form and see a success message, but nothing arrives. Sometimes submissions appear in Squarespace's own storage while emails never do.
What it actually means
Squarespace forms have two separate jobs: recording the submission somewhere, and notifying you. They fail independently, which is why a form can be both working and useless at the same time.
That distinction is genuinely good news. If storage is enabled, your leads are being kept even when the notification email fails — meaning missed enquiries are usually recoverable rather than lost. Most site owners never check, and discover months of enquiries sitting in a panel they did not know existed.

How to fix it
Work through these in order. Take a backup before you change anything.
Step 1 — Check Form & Pop-Up Storage first
Squarespace keeps submissions here. Look before assuming anything is lost — the enquiries you thought you missed are often all sitting in it.
Step 2 — Confirm the storage destination
Open the form's settings and verify a storage option is connected and the email address is one you actually read.
Step 3 — Submit a real test
Fill the live form yourself and watch both the storage panel and your inbox, including spam. That separates a storage failure from a delivery failure.
Step 4 — Reconnect integrations
Google Sheets and email-marketing connections expire. Disconnect and reauthorize any that show a warning.
Step 5 — Add a second destination
Send to two addresses, or to storage plus email. Redundancy costs nothing and means a single failure never loses a lead again.

Call someone if submissions are missing from storage as well as email, which suggests the form is not saving at all, or if you have discovered months of unanswered enquiries — recovering those quickly and gracefully matters more than the technical fix.
