A discount that adds up
10 to 20 percent off any repair, which on one flashing job can cover the year.
A paper trail
Two dated reports a year. Insurers and buyers' inspectors both like a roof with a history.
Why a roof needs a checkup
Roofs fail in small ways first. A pipe boot cracks in the August sun. A bead of sealant shrinks. A branch takes two shingles off the north slope, where nobody looks. None of it is dramatic. All of it, left alone, becomes the stain on the bedroom ceiling.
The club exists to catch those things while they cost a few hundred dollars instead of a few thousand. Each visit is a full inspection: every slope walked, every penetration checked, photos of all of it, and a short report you can file and forget.
When the visits happen
Spring, after hail season settles, and fall, before the winter fronts. If a storm hits between visits, members go to the front of the inspection line. After a big hail day that line can run two weeks long. Members on the Rooster plan get a visit within 48 hours.
The arithmetic
A one-off repair visit tends to run $250 or more before anything gets fixed. Two inspections, a resealed boot and the repair discount usually cover a year's membership by the first spring. If it does not pay for itself in a year, cancel. We would rather lose a member than keep an unhappy one.

Questions
Questions, answered plainly.
Still wondering?
Rooster, our assistant, answers roof and storm questions at any hour and can book the inspection.
Yes. Monthly plans stop at the end of the month. Yearly plans are refunded for the months you have not used, minus any visit already done. No calls asking you to reconsider.
Does my roof have to be one you installed?
No. Any residential roof qualifies after a first inspection. If that inspection finds a roof near the end of its life, we will tell you, and suggest you skip the club and put the money toward the replacement.
Does the club pay for storm damage?
No. Storm damage is what homeowner's insurance is for. Members get a faster storm inspection and a photo report for the claim, which is where most claims are won or lost.
What counts as a minor repair?
Resealing pipe boots and flashing, replacing a few shingles, refastening a ridge cap, clearing a valley. Anything bigger is quoted separately, at the member discount, before we start.
Does the membership transfer if I sell?
Rooster and Ruler of the Roost plans transfer to the buyer, along with the visit reports. Buyers' inspectors tend to like a roof with a paper trail.
Is there a contract or a card on file?
No contract. You choose monthly or yearly, and nothing is charged until after your first visit, when you have seen the report and decided the club is worth it.
Join before the next hail season does.
Book the first inspection and ask the inspector about the club on the roof. Nothing is charged until you have seen the report.
